One of the longest-running model parliament organizations in the world, having held annual sessions continuously since 1922.

Registration for the 98th Winter Session is now open. Scroll down to register!

Panel 1

Every year in December, YPM hosts its Winter Session at the Manitoba Legislative Building. All youth in Manitoba are invited to sit in the chamber, where they can voice their opinion on issues that are important to them. Participants will have the chance to learn about current affairs and make lifelong friends from across the province.

Some of the most influential people in our province – and country – are alumni of YPM. From prominent politicians to Rhodes Scholars, community leaders like Lloyd AxworthyBill Blaikie, Niki Ashton, and Michael Redhead Champagne were all members of YPM in their youth!

Panel 2

All Manitoban youth who are between the ages of 16-20 are eligible to attend Winter Session. Applicants do not necessarily have to be residents of Manitoba, so long as they are able to physically attend Winter Session from December 26-31. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Financial Aid

Youth Parliament of Manitoba is committed to equity and inclusion at its Winter Session. We are mandated to not deny anyone who wishes to participate in Winter Session due to financial barriers.
