As exams and tests finalize for the year, winter break has been bestowed upon students across the province. To many youth, this means relaxing and spending time with family for all of the winter break. However, for 94 young people across the province (and even one in the territories!) winter break also means taking part in the Youth Parliament of Manitoba’s 103rd Session from the 26th to the 31st of December!
We would like to remind new and returning members to finalize any tasks, prepare any items and other essentials as soon as possible to avoid the often frantic packing or cramming the night before Session. Additionally, we ask all members to carry government I.D. to Session in case of any rare security clearance checks at the Manitoba Legislative Building. Most importantly, have parliamentary attire ironed and ready to wear for fierce and stylish debate in the Chamber at Session.
Lastly, we ask new and returning members to take the time between now and Session to decompress, reflect and spend time with those you care about until YPM103 hopefully adds to that growing supportive list.
See you all at Session!
