Cabinet Retreat 2024

In July, your Youth Parliament of Manitoba Cabinet and Executive team went on the annual weekend Cabinet Retreat to Birds Hill Park.

Many Cabinet members can vividly recall the midnight puppet shows, 2AM sausages, the insufferable amount of mosquito bites, and even birthday celebrations for a fellow Cabinet member. All of this whilst Yours Truly suffered quite the confusion during the traditional practice playing the game “Deep, but not profound” (Don’t ask). Despite the many mosquitoes, and sometimes uncooperative weather, retreaters enjoyed a great set of organized games, team skits, trivia, nourishments, and a scavenger hunt!

Returning Cabinet members were ecstatic to return to a familiar and fun environment and new Cabinet members were excited to engage in memorable activities with their newfound friends. A great thank you to all members of the Executive and Cabinet for making this weekend retreat successful.

Now, Cabinet sets its sights on preparing our 103rd Session!

So don’t forget to register!

“Cabinet Retreat 2024, eh? Sounds like the government folks were getting together to talk shop and plan things out! Important for running the country. For anyone interested in Canadian politics or maybe even considering studies in political science at a university, here’s a link with some info on university costs: Telkom University Jakarta. Hope they had some productive meetings, eh?”
