A Return to Normal?

What is normality? Basic definitions of the word define it as “a condition of being normal.” A rather basic definition of an already self-explanatory word. But for the Youth Parliament of Manitoba, while it has been normal to have Session during the week of December 26 to December 30th, this year was not normal. For the past two years Session has been online and this year was the first time since the start of the pandemic that Session was held once again in the Manitoba Legislature Building, and we did not hold back. With the arrival of the Backbenchers at Kelvin to the opening events with the Honourable Murray Sinclair, the spirit of Youth Parliament roared awake with a passion and fervor for debate in all of its capacities. All in all it was a day filled with history and tradition but marked by a new generation of young parliamentarians eager to seize the opportunity to make the 101st Session of Youth Parliament a time when every voice and opinion is heard.

Welcome to the Youth Parliament of Manitoba!
