Visit us at Session
Ceremonies
One of our longest-standing traditions at session are our ceremonies. These are the moments when the Lieutenant Governor formally opens session and reads the Speech from the Throne, and also when session is prorogued and members must say their final good-byes.
Assisting in our ceremonies is a contingent of cadets from local units in the province, as well as bagpipers who serve as a musical accompaniment.
Invitations for our ceremonies are sent out to all friends of Youth Parliament of Manitoba. Relatives and friends of participants are also welcome. Attendees are not required to RSVP.
Further information about the start and end times for this year’s ceremonies will be posted here when it is available.
Sittings
Parents and friends are invited to the Manitoba Legislature’s visitors gallery to observe our sittings.
