Youth Parliament of Manitoba's main focus is the annual session, which takes place in late December of each year. But that doesn't mean our community lies dormant between sessions: we operate year-round in providing events for our membership to help everyone stay in touch.

As an incorporated entity of the province of Manitoba, YPM must hold an Annual General Meeting open to all of our members. Occuring every spring, the AGM affords all members the chance to propose amendments to the governing documents of the corporation. Elections to the Board of Directors take place at the Election Meeting every December.

Because YPM are a non-profit corporation, we rely heavily on fundraising to cover our organizational costs. Our most common fundraising activity is a group car wash, to which all members are invited.

One of our primary goals as a charity is to provide opportunities for personal development and growth for our members. Most of our focus is on members selected to the cabinet, who are given the opportunity to attend regular meetings and an out-of-town retreat.
